Keith's sweater

I started this sweater for Keith in Nov. for an anniversary present. I didn't get it finished in time for our anniversary. Then I had surgery on my hand in December and was not able to knit at all. I tried for Christmas, but had to settle for Keith's birthday on Jan. 22. When he tried it on the first time, the sleeves were too long so I had to frog them down to the elbow and re-knit them. The yarn is bulky and it was knit on size 13 needles. It's a "Weekend" sweater and great for when it gets cold. This is the first sweater I've knit in over 20 years!
The first picture showed this as being PINK, so I fooled with the color, but wasn't really happy with it. So I took another picture of the sweater with Keith wearing it. It shows the color and size much better! He wears it a lot, so I guess he likes it!!
New Busch Stadium in December

This is another view of the new stadium. It has been several months since this was taken, so I am assuming there is a lot more done to it. St. Louis has had a mild winter this year, with almost no snow, so construction should be moving along quickly. I am anxious to go to a game in the new stadium this summer. The Cardinals will be playing in Detroit this coming season, so we will go see them here. Plus we always go to Comerica Park (I like the name of Tiger Stadium much better) when they play in Detroit.
Busch Stadium--gone but not forgotten

Being avid St. Louis Cardinal fans, we had to go view the progress of the new stadium while in town. This pile of rubble is all that remains of the original Busch Stadium. We spent many days, afternoons and night there for baseball games and concerts (Beach Boys during a VP Fair weekend in the '80s).

MIA
I can't believe it has been 3 months since I updated my blog!! I was consumed by holiday activites and such and am now able to catch my breath!! Our 38th wedding anniversary was Nov. 25. We didn't go away this year because it was so close to Thanksgiving. We had a lot of things done to the house and needed to catch up on small projects. We spent Christmas in St. Louis, so I put up our tree early so I could enjoy it. There was LOTS of snow in Michigan in December and early January.

Newest stocking

I needed to make a stocking for grandson, Grant, who used the Santa last year. I finished his stocking a few weeks ago. I still need to make one for his new little brother, Cory. Then there will be another new baby next Christmas!! This is Grant's stocking.
Christmas Stockings

I started making Christmas stockings for the family about 35 years ago. Since then I have made one for myself, Keith (husband), our 2 children, their spouses, and our 5 grandchildren. Last Christmas the family came to Michigan. Here is a picture of all of our stockings. There are also stockings for our 2 dogs, but I didn't make those.
